Hello fans,
The members of the Alex Tintinalli Band are excited to invite you to their final show together before they are off to other parts of the country pursuing their dreams. Your support of the band over the past 4 years, has been greatly appreciated and therefore the band wants to put on a "show of shows" for you on December 18th in celebration of your support and to bring in the holiday cheer.
Alex is off to Toronto to Seneca College's music program in January, Devin is moving out to B.C. to pursue music and other related interests, Brian is at UWloo in the math program, Jordan's starting business college locally in January and Chris and Dondi are each slapping it down full-time providing first-rate rhythm for numerous musicians in town.
On December 18th, you're going to hear a variety of powerful music including blues, rock, funk, R&B/soul and hip-hop featuring some of the incredible original songs the band has written together and individually over the past 4 years. They will also be playing some of favourite cover songs througout the night.
Since you last heard them in January before their showcase in Memphis, they have all been involved in a number of music recording projects. Alex has been recording a new solo R&B/Soul record in addition to recording with his funky hip-hop band "Pocket City" (Jordan and Donovan included). Both records are expected sometime in early 2011. Devin and Brian released an incredibly eclectic CD with their trio "Red Ribbon Players" in August and then 2 weeks later Brian released a tasteful CD with his jazz group"Macondo Quartet". Chris has also been involved in recording on various artist's records including Lucas Stagg.
So needless to say, there's lots of great new music you will hear on December 18th. It's going to be a fun, exciting night.
Tickets go on sale Wedesday November 10th and are limited to the first 200.
The event is expected to sell out quickly due to an overwhelming demand for this one last performance of the Alex Tintinalli Band.

Yo what's up?
So its almost July and I realized I haven't posted anything new for a few months....my bad!
This year has been a real good and interesting one. I've scaled back the number of shows to focus on my song-writing and stage performance skills. Also I've been working on a new project called "Pocket City" which blends old-school hip hop with funky music. Its lots of fun and really allows for some cool artistic expression for me and the boys. I post all of my shows, solo and Pocket City, here on my site so you can always know where I'm playing and hopefully you will be able to make it out to a show.
I was just in Nashville in early June spending a weekend with Tom Jackson, who is a leading GURU in the music industry for working with artists on their stage shows. He's amazing and I really got alot from that weekend bootcamp. Also attending from Canada was my artist friend Samantha Testa from Ottawa. She is an amazing singer and performer and if you ever get a chance to see her you will be blown away! At the bootcamp Samantha and I both were honoured to receive "Top Performer" awards which will take us back to Nashville to have one of each of our songs recorded by an award winning producer.....very cool!
In July I will be attending a week long songwriting workshop in Tdot called SongStudio. Rik Emmett and Blair Packham, are putting it on and have a whole bunch of guests such as Dan Hill, Greig Nori, Jim Vallance and Terry Brown, to name a few. I'm looking forward to getting as many tips as I can from these guys.....I'm stoked about it!
During the summer months I'm also teaching guitar & bass lessons and playing a number of small and large shows including the Durham International Festival in Ajax on July 17th. The festival is produced by former Canadian Idol Judge, Farley Flex. Its free and open to all so come on out!
So hopefully I will see you at some of my upcoming shows. Please come up and say hey! Also don't forget to sign up to my fan mail list on the top right side of this website. Just for signing up, you will get to download one of my songs for free!
Peace!
Alex
